Naxalite leader arrested in Bihar

A top Naxal leader was arrested along with his three associates in Bihar's Gaya district today, police said.

The chief of proscribed Naxal outfit Shastra Pratirodh Manch (SPM) Ajai Ujjwal alias Chandal Ji was arrested along with his three associates from Sherghati area, they said.

DGP Neelmani in Patna said the SPM activists were engaged in collecting levy from private companies engaged in road construction work.

Ujjwal and his associates were wanted by Gaya police for burning equipment of private parties carrying out road construction work in the district, police said.
