NCP leader escapes narrowly in militant attack in JK
A senior leader of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) managed a narrow escape when suspected militants opened fire at him in the Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.
A senior leader of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) managed a narrow escape when suspected militants opened fire at him in the Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Tuesday.

The District President of NCP for Kishtwar district Parvez Ahmed Tak was on its way to Patnazi when militants fired on him from a hill top in the Bonjwa area of Kishtwar district last night, police said.
The Personal Security Officers (PSOs) of the leader returned the fire resulting in a brief exchange following which the militants escaped, they said adding that there was no injury or loss of life in the attack.
After recieving information later, police and security forces launched a search operation in the area to track down those responsible for the act.
