Senior Delhi Police officers and their counterparts from Haryana, UP, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan attended the meeting, one of the primary objectives of which was to share terror-related intelligence and inputs about various extremist outfits and their possible designs.

“Commissioner Kumar stressed on increasing police presence, intensive and co-ordinated checking at vulnerable points, tenant verification, guest house checking and sensitization of cyber café owners, second-hand car dealers, transporters, property dealers, cycle sellers, chemical dealers and STD/ISD PCO booth owners in order to strengthen the counter terrorism measures,” said an officer.

According to police, surveillance over inter-state criminals involved in heinous offences, repeat offenders and gangs was also emphasized.

“Representatives of the state police forces shared lists of their most wanted criminals and other related information about their respective areas. It was decided to take concerted action against active inter-state criminals for curbing crime in NCR,” the officer said.

Officers, who were part of the meeting also decided on integrated checking at unmanned borders in tandem with each.
