NCR workshop on safety of trains

NORTH CENTRAL Railway (NCR) organised a one-day workshop with an objective to improve the punctuality and safety of the trains, here on Tuesday. Electric shade in-charge and loco inspectors of Allahabad, Agra and Jhansi divisions attended the workshop.

Addressing the workshop, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Allahabad SK Chowdhary dwelt on the failures of assets like engines, coaches and wagons which affected the movement of large number of trains. He emphasised the need for minimising the failure of such assets which led to the detention of many trains. Besides, the officers discussed the measures to clear block section in minimum time during assets failure. Chowdhary said that during block section failure, the driver should be approached soon. He further said cabin of the electric engine should be air conditioned.

New postings: Sunil Kumar Singh took the charge as Deputy Chief Security Commissioner, NCR, on Tuesday. While, Anjani Kumar joined as Senior Divisional Security Commissioner, Railway Protection Force.

Arrival: Central president of the North-Central Railway Men’s Union (NCRMU) and the Northern Railway Men’s Union (NRMU), Shiv Gopal Mishra and general secretary of All India Railway Men’s Federation JB Chaubey would arrive in the city on Wednesday.
