Yet another such fair titled 'Sharad Mela' is coming up this month which will be held at North Central Zone Cultural Centre from January 6 to 15.
As suggested by its name, the Mela which is theme-based will host the culture, craft and cuisine of the winter season.
"We are planning to put textile and cuisine of the season in the fair wherein the people will get the opportunity to buy the woollens of various regions such as Kashmir, Kulu, Nagaland, Kutch, Uttranchal, Uttar Pradesh etc," said Bhagwan Shanker, director NCZCC.
Approximately 50 stalls will be put up including the textile and cuisine of various States.
As informed by an official, this time much preference will be given to the local artistes instead of inviting them from other States.
" Cultural events will be performed daily by the local artistes except the two groups which would be invited from Haryana and Chhattisgarh to perform the folk dances.
Mushaira will be held in which too the preference will be given to local poets," he said.
However the highlight of the entire event would be Asif Miyan 'Patangwale' from Rampur.
He is famous for his awesome tricks with kites. He is known to fly 100 kites all at a time and his performance will take place on the first three days of the fair from January 6 to 8.
The event will be inaugurated by Commissioner Dr Lalit Verma.
