"This opportunistic alliance will benefit a handful of people, but the losers will be the people of the state," Jharkhand PCC General Secretary-cum-spokesman Sailesh Sinha said.

He said the JMM leaders had disallowed Chief Minister Shibu Soren from expressing his views since the BJP decided to withdraw support to his government and then put it on hold.

RJD's state unit President Girinath Singh said the latest decision on Jharkhand was a "formula of loot" and would soon meet the fate which the BJP had experienced in Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka.

CPI(ML-Liberation) MLA Vinod Singh claimed that there were serious differences among the allies.

He demanded that the people should know about the formula for a new government in the state.
