"We have cancelled all the 19 trains from Jammu for their onward journey to various places in the country in view of bad situation and curfew due to violent Sikh protests in Punjab," a railway official here said.

Train services would be resumed after the situation improves in the state through which most of the trains originating from Jammu cross, he said.

Protesters went on the rampage today in Punjab and parts of Haryana setting trains and buses on fire in reaction to the killing of the Dera Sachkhand Chief in a shootout in Vienna.
