Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar from his Lok Sabha seat on Monday.

Kumar met Speaker Somnath Chatterjee in his Parliament House office and submitted his resignation letter.

The Speaker is understood to have accepted Kumar's resignation with immediate effect.

After becoming the Chief Minister in November, Kumar was elected to the Bihar Legislative Council last month.
