The examinations which were called off would be held separately and dates would be announced soon, he added.

DIOS Vikas Srivastava told this newspaper that Board officials would convene a meeting to take a decision on the fresh dates for the examination. “The students of 11 schools where examinations were called off because of security reasons should not worry. Besides, those who are living in Qaiserbagh and Aminabad areas and could not reach their examination centres located in other parts of the city also must not worry. All they have to do is to get their cases verified by the school principals,” he said.

Srivastava also made it clear that those who were not residing in the violence-hit areas and have examination centres at some other places which were relatively peaceful and yet missed the examination would be allowed to sit in the re-examination of that paper. In such cases,

students would be required to verify their absence by their principals. In case of any inconvenience, the students might contact the DIOS personally at his office, he said.
