Raids were conducted at 19 places including the residences of some of the alleged beneficiaries in the case, including that of Dev Dutt who was the then CEO of Noida authority, CBI sources said in Lucknow. The raids were conducted at seven places in Lucknow, nine places in Noida, two in Meerut and one in Ghaziabad, the sources said.

Those whose residences were raided included former chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav's secretary and IAS officer Anita Singh and some other alleged beneficiaries in the scam, they said.

A computer firm in Lucknow was also raided. The plots were allotted during the previous Samajwadi Party regime and several politicians and bureaucrats were in the list of allottees.

After the scam came to light, the Allahabad High Court had ordered a CBI inquiry into it. The beneficiaries included relatives of senior SP leaders and former UP ministers.
