The police have detained the operator of a website domain registering agency. Also, two persons were arrested from Jalandhar in Punjab on Sunday night.

The police said that the accused uploaded an MMS clip of a Noida-based couple who was on a honeymoon trip a few months ago and stayed at hotels in Mathura in Uttar Pradesh and Dausa in Rajasthan.

The police are still not sure whether the MMS was made in Mathura or Rajasthan. They are questioning both the hotel owners and checking the rooms where the couple stayed.

According to a source, officials are zeroing in on a hotel in Dausa. The clip shows a door of the room which is similar to the one at a hotel in Dausa.

The police have also taken the complainant along with them for the identification of the suspects.

The Noida police have also got vital clue from the mobile phones and laptop seized from those arrested.

According to a senior police officer, they have recovered a list of phone numbers of hotels from across the country.

The police have so far arrested, Ankur Bedi, who has done BCA and was working with a private bank, and Harvinder, a second year B.Com student. Both are residents of Jalandhar and are in their early 20s.

They had been running the porn websites for the past three years. On Monday, they were presented in a court which sent them into police custody for six days.

Crackdown on pornographic sites
The city police have written to all government and law enforcement agencies to launch a crackdown on porn websites.

The move came after they busted a porn network allegedly operated by two men from Jalandhar.

The police said the racket allegedly filmed a Noida couple’s private moments and uploaded the MMS clips on more than 36 porn sites. They clips were viewed by over 87 lakh internet users.
