Noida runs for a clean and green city
It was a fun-filled day for fitness freaks as celebrities and commoners showed equal zeal and participated in the ‘Noida 10K Run’ that was held on Sunday to promote the need for a green and clean city.
It was a fun-filled day for fitness freaks as celebrities and commoners showed equal zeal and participated in the ‘Noida 10K Run’ that was held on Sunday to promote the need for a green and clean city.
The run began from Ramleela Ground at Noida Stadium in Sector 21A at 6 am. During the event people from different walks of life including senior citizens and children took part and made the event a success.
Amar Nath, a senior citizen, said, "I am determined to finish the run, seeing the huge response from youngsters. It makes me feel young." Celebrities like Gauhar Khan, Tusshar Kapoor, Udita Goswami and Geeta Basra were also present at the event.
“It is encouraging to witness such massive turn out of citizens,” said actor Tusshar Kapoor.
Around 70 male runners and 20 female runners, both of national repute, including winners of prestigious runs participated in the marathon.
