Visconti, who came up with the idea for the handcrafted pen after reading Dan Brown's book, felt Cannes would be the ideal place to launch it, reported Contactmusic.
The pens have a hidden numbered code that will help solve a riddle, which readers of the book will be familiar with.
Visconti said that the first person who cracks the code would be rewarded with a special prize.
Sharon Stone, Sir Elton John and Sofia Coppola are among the stars to have received the pens.
