NOW, THE candidates contesting for local bodies elections and other elections could take the services of postal department for distributing their pamphlets and other information brochure in their constituency and other required areas through the ‘direct post’.

This was informed by the senior superintendent of post offices Kanpur KK Yadav, while addressing the costumers meet organised by the department to mark the postal week here on Saturday.

Besides, Yadav informed about other services being provided by the postal department like free pickup, express parcel, one India one-rate speed post and many other services.

He further informed about the services being provide under the media post like postal stationery, letterbox and provision of displaying advertisement at post offices walls and postal trains.

Yadav also requested the participants to make their suggestions, so the postal department could bring required change to improve its services.

Representatives of the various government and private department along with individual costumers took part in this costumer meet. The prominent departments, which took part in the meet, were KESCo, Reserve Bank of India, LIC, UTI, and National Pulse Research Center, OEF, LML Bajaj Allience, Super House, Kanpur Palstic Pack Limited. The prominent postal officers present in the meet were additional director VP Mishra, postal superintendent VB Chobey.
