Now, it's toon time for Govinda

Govinda will now do an animation movie with Nikhil Advani titled Ab Dilli Door Nahin also starring Tabu and Akshaye Khanna, reports Shaikh Ayaz.

N o more funny business, please. As a first in his career, he's signed on Nikhil Advani's animation film titled Ab Dilli Door Nahin, in which he'll lend his voice.

Says Govinda, "I've done an adventure film (Maharaja) before but never an animation film. Often, I feel the need to break away from the rut. I'd enjoyed working with Nikhil in Salaam-e-Ishq. The moment he told me that the title of his new film is Ab Dilli Door Nahin, I jumped at it."

New genre
Why animation? "Why not?" shoots back the actor. "I'm an artiste who can survive only if he doesn't limit himself to any genre."

Ab Dilli Door Nahin also features Tabu and Akshaye Khanna.

"Ha, are they really acting in the film? Please check with Nikhil," he says, astonished.

The project is expected to take off next year.

Govinda's next release will be Chal Chala Chal to be released on his 44th birthday on December 21.
