Driven by superstition, the people of the area are claiming that the girls have been possessed with evil spirits, as the school has come up on a crematorium. Several ‘Ojhas’ (quacks) are performing tricks claiming that they would dispel the ghosts from the school.

However, the Seoni district administration hasn’t yet acted to know what has gone wrong with the students. Seoni Collector Dr G K Saraswat couldn’t be contacted after repeated calls.
