NRI elected to Nevada district council

Indian American Rajan Zed is elected to Nevada's Office of the General Improvement District Trustee.

An Indian who graduated in journalism from Panjab University has won unopposed an election to a local trustee office in Nevada in the US.

Indian American Rajan Zed was elected to the office of general improvement district trustee of Nevada.

Zed, who was a journalist before he migrated to the US, serves on the governing board of directors of northern Nevada international centre, board of directors of Nevada world trade council, and Reno police chief's advisory board.

An MBA from the University of Nevada, Zed is also active in various community and professional organisations, including the society of human resource management, American Society for Information Science and Technology.

He was honoured with International Professional of the Year-2005 award by International Biographical Centre of England and has been nominated for great minds of the 21st century by American biographical institute.

Zed lives in Reno, Nevada, with wife Shipa, a community volunteer, son Navgeet and daughter Palkin.
