NSIC, a mini ratna PSU in the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) sector, has set up its first office along with a training-cum-incubation centre to share its expertise by offering consultancy and business development services, training in capacity building, and help in making policy and institutional framework.

“Our aim is to facilitate enterprise-to-enterprise cooperation between India and South Africa on mutually agreed terms, and also promote export of machineries being manufactured by Indian SMEs to the buyers in South Africa,” NSIC chairman, HP Kumar told HT.

The corporation already has its incubation centres in 11 countries abroad. “Opening of an office gives us a wider ambit,” he said.
