The administration would also send recommendation to the Divisional Commissioner for taking action against Panagar Block Medial Officer and Community Health Centre in-charge Dr. PC Anand for showing laxity in execution of the scheme.

The District Collector has placed Anjana Pandey, a nurse deputed at the Community Health Centre Panagar, under suspension for non-distribution of incentive amount to the beneficiaries for several months.

The scheme aims at reducing the women and infant mortality rate during childbirth by encouraging the women of below poverty line to have delivery in the government hospitals where incentive of Rs. 700 is given in rural and Rs. 600 in urban areas.
