Playing against Christmas Sports Club, Nutan College set a 151-run target. Pragaya Singh and Surabhi of Nutan College demonstrated good batting skills. Chasing the target, Christmas Sports scored 140 runs.

Earlier, chief guest Bhopal Development Authority (BDA) CEO K P Rahi inaugurate the tournament. He took an introduction with the teams. On the occasion, organising committee president Sudhir Kumar Prasad, Dinesh Pachaoriya and others were present.

Inter-press cricket
THE INTER-PRESS cricket tournament under the aegis of VNS Institution will be organised in the City from January 15.

According to Bhopal Sports Journalist Association (BSJA) president Sanjay Pandey, various media teams, including print and electronic, will be participating in the tournament. The VNS Institution will award the man of the match of every match.

The tournament will be played for over 20 days. Leading umpires will be invited for supervising the tournament. For further details interested teams may contact Idrajit Maurya and Abdul Aziz.

State sports
THE STATE-LEVEL sports meet organised by the Higher Education Department will start from January 4. Principal Secretary Dr Bhagirath Prasad will be the chief guest of the opening ceremony.

The fifth Mayank Chaturvedi Memorial Cricket Tournament will be organised at Old Campion Ground from January 10. Teams from across the country will be participating in the tournament.
