He was in judicial custody and undergoing treatment.
Reacting to PC Sinha’s death the office bearers of Awas Vikas Parishad Employees Confederation said that that he died following harassment by the EOW officials.
Although it was illegal to interrogate an accused, Sinha was questioned at the hospital on Monday, they added.
The office bearers further alleged that the EOW pressured ailing Sinha during interrogation which he could not bear and died of cardiac arrest.
General secretary of the Confederation Bachcha Prasad said that the EOW cops were harassing other employees of the department making calls on their mobile. Prasad alleged that the cops threatened the employees on the phone.
He said if the EOW officials did not stop harassing the employees, the Confederation would launch an agitation soon.
