One killed, 11 injured in road mishaps

One person was killed, while eleven others were injured in separate road accidents on Wednesday across the Kashmir Valley, police official said.

A bus that was on its way from Kargil to Drass hit a Tata Sumo at Tresbuce Drass near TV station, injuring six people.

"The injured were shifted to hospital, where an 18-years-old Ghulam Rabani, resident of Jadyal, succumbed to his injuries," police statement said.

"Drass police have registered a case in this regard" the statement added.

Meanwhile, a Maruti car hit a hand cart running a Pakodas kiosk at Chanapora, leading to burn injuries to three labourers.

"The injured were shifted to a hospital for treatment," police statement said.

In a separate road accident, "An EON car hit and injured a pedestrian Abdul Gani Shah of Danderkha Batamaloo opposite Bakshi stadium.

"The injured was also shifted to a hospital for treatment."

Meanwhile, a motorcycle hit and injured a lady at Papchan Bandipora. "In this accident the motorcyclist was also injured. Both the injured were shifted to a hospital" police statement said.
