At least one person was killed and 17 others injured, five seriously, in a bus-truck collision on the national highway in Bihar's Gaya district on Sunday.

The accident occurred near Naugarh village under Amas police station when the Gaya-bound bus from neighbouring Aurangabad collided head-on with a truck on the Grand Trunk road, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Tekari, Suresh Prasad told PTI.
The victim, identified as Jitendra Bhuian, was the cleaner of the bus, he said, adding five seriously injured passengers were rushed to Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College at Gaya.
Six others were undergoing treatment at a hospital in Aurangabad, while an equal number were released after first aid, he said.
