If a foreign brand is looking to set foot on Indian shores, they are unlikely to ask Shamita Shetty to be a brand ambassador, going by her performance at the launch of the Ferragamo store at the Grand Hyatt on Thursday.

The lady arrived for thelaunch of the Italian high-fashion brand and apart from the usual "I'm happy to be here" bytes, she added charmingly, "Actually Ferragamo is not my favourite brand … but it’s a good brand nevertheless..."

Dressed in a Rocky S outfit she went on to list other international brands entering India … "Dior is here...Cavalli...Versache..." we heard her say.

If that doesn't give the Ferragamo people second thoughts about the patented hideously expensive goodie bag they were handing out (Designer Laschelle Symmonns got one with a pair of 11,500 bucks glares in them!), we don’t know what will. For more on the Ferragamo launch, turn to Around Town.
