Leander Paes and Nenad Zimonjic of Serbia Montinegro registered a straight-set win to move into the doubles quarter-finals on Sunday. The seventh seeds defeated the Czech pair of Frantisek Cermak and Leos Friedl 7-6 (7/5), 6-4. They now face third seed Mike and Bob Bryan of the US.

On Saturday, Paes and Martina Navratilova advanced to the second round of the mixed doubles event. They defeated French pair Stephanie Foretz and Nicolas Devilder 6-4, 6-3. Now they face Dinara Safina (Russia) and Simon Aspelin (Sweden).

Mahesh Bhupathi and American Lisa Raymond booked their place in the quarter-finals of the mixed doubles after defeating Katarina Srebotnik (Slovakia) and Todd Woodbridge (Australia) 7-5, 7-6 (7/4) in the second round.
