Pak-based terrorists' role in blasts confirmed: Patil
The Anti-Terrorist Squad arrested Kamal Ansari and Khalid Aziz Sheikh from Bihar and Mumtaz Ahmed alias Magbul Ahmed Choudhury from Navi Mumbai on Friday.
The interrogation of three suspects arrested in connection with the July 11 blasts in Mumbai has confirmed that Pakistan-based terrorist groups were behind the attacks, Deputy Chief Minister RR Patil said in Pune on Saturday.

The three men have revealed the role played by terrorist groups in Pakistan and others based in neighbouring countries in the blasts, Patil told reporters but refused to give details.
The Anti-Terrorist Squad arrested Kamal Ansari and Khalid Aziz Sheikh from Bihar and Mumtaz Ahmed alias Magbul Ahmed Choudhury from Navi Mumbai on Friday.
When asked whether the blasts were the result of an intelligence failure, Patil, who also holds the home portfolio, said the state government has not hesitated from taking responsibility for what happened in Mumbai.
He said terrorists had succeeded in carrying out similar bomb attacks even in Britain and Spain.
"We had not thought that the terrorists would target innocents travelling in trains," Patil said.
Stressing the need to strengthen the intelligence network in the state, Patil said the police would not allow Maharashtra to become a hideout for terrorists.
