Pak series not the biggest test of all: Sourav
Indian captain speaks about upcoming home series against Pak and a lot more in an interview with Jaideep Ghosh.
Sourav Ganguly thinks he would have lost his job if India had done badly in Australia or Pakistan, and the home series against the latter, despite all the hype, is not the biggest challenge for him as captain. He spoke at length to Jaideep Ghosh during the Challenger Series.
Excerpts from an interview:

On the home series against Pakistan being his biggest test.
No, I don't think so. The World Cup was a huge tournament for any captain. Then we went to Australia, which is also a huge series for any captain. Not many captains have returned from Australia and survived. Then we went to Pakistan, which was the biggest series. If we had lost in Pakistan, there would definitely have been somebody new at the top. I have gone through all that, so I don't think this will be the biggest test of all.
The situation on Tendulkar and how his injury will affect the Indian team.
It's an injury and only the physio and the doctors can say what the situation is. But we have our fingers crossed.
Is Laxman finished as a one-day player?
I think that's a question the selectors will have to answer but Laxman is still a very good player.
