Pak test-fires N-capable cruise missile

Officials claim the 500-km-range Babar can carry any type of warhead.

Pakistan on Tuesday test-fired its 500-km-range Babar cruise missile, which is capable of carrying a nuclear warhead.

Pakistani officials claimed the missile can carry any type of warhead. The missile was first tested in August last year.

Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf and senior officials watched the test-firing.
