Pawar to inaugurate career counsellors? training today

A COMPREHENSIVE training programme of career guidance counsellors, under the Swami Vievekanand Career Guidance Scheme, from across State will be held here through teleconferencing on May 6.

A COMPREHENSIVE training programme of career guidance counsellors, under the Swami Vievekanand Career Guidance Scheme, from across State will be held here through teleconferencing on May 6.

Minister of State for Higher and Technical Education Tukoji Rao Pawar will inaugurate the training session at 10.30 am at the SATCOM centre of the Academy of Administration here. Higher Education Principal Secretary Bhagirath Prasad will be especially present on the occasion.

Under the training, a total of 4,700 career counsellors will be benefited. Following this, trained counsellors will guide as many as 15 lakh students of the State. It may be mentioned that Madhya Pradesh will be the first State where students of schools and colleges along with their studies will get career guidance through trained lecturers and professors.

Experts in the field of career counselling along with their team members will impart training on May 6 from 10.30 am to 4.30 pm through teleconferencing.

They will inform career counsellors regarding courses and opportunities related to various disciplines such as engineering, medical, computers and IT, commerce management, science, agriculture, self-employment, opportunities of jobs abroad, competitive examinations, ITI, career related to polytechnic courses, financial and social services and careers in other fields including fashion.

Two lecturers or professors each of all Government higher secondary schools, colleges, ITIs at the district headquarters and polytechnic colleges have been selected for the career guidance cell set up in their respective institutions.
They will receive this training from the District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs) or from the SATCOM centre at the district headquarters.

The experts group to impart training under the direction of Jayantilal Bhandari includes - Dr Puroshottam Dubey, Dr Amiya Pahare, Dr Sushim Pagare, Dr Ashok Jain, Dr Rajiv Trivedi, Dr Vinayak Pandey, Dr DC Rathi, Dr Rakesh Trivedi, Prof Rishina Natu, Dr Sanjay Vyas, Prof Mahakal Chandel etc.
