He said, "The victory is a reward for good work, I Thank people for reposing faith in us...people of India have voted with clarity".

Praising Rahul Gandhi for the surge of youth in the country politics, he said that he always wanted Rahul Gandhi in the Cabinet and will try to persuade him to be a part of the Cabinet.

Sonia Gandhi said, " The UPA worked very hard under the leadership of Manmohan Singh. She said that the public has expressed faith in Manmohan Singh and the Congress. She also said that it will Manmohan Singh's decision to have Rahul in the Cabinet.
