Pervez awards Rs 10 lakh to Inzamam

The Pakistan President annnounced an award of Rs 10 lakh for captain Inzamam-ul-Haq for leading the team to victory in Ahmedabad.

Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf on Tuesday annnounced an award of Rs 10 lakh for captain Inzamam-ul-Haq for leading the team to victory in the fourth One-Day International cricket match against India in Ahmedabad.

State run PTV reported that Musharraf spoke to Inzamam, coach Bob Woolmer and the team manager Salim Altaf and congratulated the team. He also praised Inzamam for his all-round contribution.

Pakistan Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz also complimented the captain and the team members for winning today's match and level the six-match series 2-2.

Man-of-the-match Inzamam made a gutsy unbeaten 60 to help Pakistan to a thrilling last ball win against India at the Motera Stadium on Tuesday.
