The authorities are all set to counter the tricks usually adopted by student leaders to get admission in the varsity.

According to PGAT-o6 director Prof A Satyanarayan around 13,800 students have been registered to appear in the post-graduate admission test against 1940 seats in AU. More than 75 percent attendance has been recorded during the admission test so far and the test will last till July 1. The admission test is being conducted in three shifts.

With the beginning of PGAT-06 on Monday, the AU administration had made up its mind to check any undesirable activity during the test and special attention was given to the Anthropology admission test with more then a dozen student leaders opting for the subject in the PGAT this year.

According to sources it has been the regular practice of the student leaders to select a specific subject for PGAT and get admission in the varsity by adopting unfair means during the admission test. Taking cognisance of the past history, the central university took strict measures to check the moves of the student leaders during the admission test this year.
