AIADMK supremo Jayalalithaa made the announcement to the media after PMK founder Dr S Ramadoss called on her at her Poes Garden residence in Chennai this morning.

The PMK would also be given a Rajya Sabha seat for the 2010 biennial elections, she said.

She said the allocation of seats to other partners of the AIADMK led front -- MDMK, CPI-M and CPI -- would be announced in a day or two.

With PMK joining the front led by her party, the alliance had been strengthened and results would prove it was a formidable combination", Jayalalithaa claimed.
