Meanwhile the candidates for mayoral post have intensified their campaigns.
They are organising corner meetings, motorcycle processions and workers meeting .
Darash Vidyarthi media campaigner for Sitaram Jaiswal spelled out the pro-people’s decision of state government and said it was Mulayam Singh who ensure the participating of the traders in the politics and allocated more than 50 per cent tickets for mayoral post and nagar panchayat chairperson to the members of trader community.
He appealed the people to ensure the victory of Sitaram Jaiswal who enjoys a clean image.
SP MLA Kamlesh Paswan have also appealed to ensure the victory of Sitaram Jaiswal and said his victory will be a mile stone in the politics of eastern UP. It would not only change the culture of the municipal corporation but also set the future line for the politics in this region.
Senior BJP leader Dr Sangam Shukla claimed the victory of BJP candidate Anju Chaudhary is almost decided as the citizens are in favour of change.
