'Polling booth area campaign' launched in Jammu

In a unique initiative taken by the Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation team here under the supervision of Jammu district election officer, polling booth area campaign (PBAC) was launched on Friday by Jammu ACD KK Sidha, Jammu SVEEP Nodal Officer, here in east assembly constituency from polling stations Dhounthly-A, Dhounthly -B.

In a unique initiative taken by the Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation team here under the supervision of Jammu district election officer, polling booth area campaign (PBAC) was launched on Friday by Jammu ACD KK Sidha, Jammu SVEEP Nodal Officer, here in east assembly constituency from polling stations Dhounthly-A, Dhounthly -B.


The campaign has specifically been designed for those polling stations which had witnessed low voter turnout in the last Lok Sabha elections.

The PBAC team comprises of booth level officers of polling stations, aanganwari worker, work supervisor and NSS volunteers.

The team will conduct door-to-door campaign and will sensitise the households on four aspects, location of the polling station, date of poll i.e. April 10, poll time i.e. 7.00am to 6.00pm and importance of voting and signing of pledge thereof.

This campaign has been targeted so that individual voter is made aware of his/her rights and convenience of participation. This campaign will go on in other constituencies of the district also.
