"President's opinion should be respected. But it is a must to pass the Bill", Party general secretary Amar Singh told reporters asserting that the definition of the Office of Profit should be defined clearly.

He said the party-led government in Uttar Pradesh has already passed a Bill with retrospective effect and is supporting the Central Legislation in this regard. "We are not like BJP, which on one hand passed the Bill in Jharkhand but is opposing the same at the Centre."

Singh, who himself is holding the post of chairmanship of UP Development Council, said there should not be any discrimination between Jaya Bachchan and Sonia Gandhi.

"Even if this Bill is Passed Jaya Bachchan will not be holding the post of UP Film Development Corporation. Sonia Gandhi too should not hold any such office", Singh, who earlier accused Gandhi for phone tapping operations against him, said.

Accusing the Congress party of being revengeful against him and Jaya Bachchan leading to her disqualification, he said: "Morally, pricipally and ideologically, Congress party is trying to implicate them."
