Prince Harry, the third in line for the British throne, is going to the war in Iraq, and his girlfriend Chelsy Davy will take a world tour to take her mind off him in his absence.
According to a report in the Sun, a largely-circulated tabloid, the 21-year-old beauty is making plans to travel the world while her boyfriend Harry, 22, completes a tour of duty in the strife-torn land.
Quoting a friend of Chelsy, the tabloid said, "Harry and Chelsy hate spending time apart but her trip is the only way she will cope while he is right in the danger zone."
Accompanied by elder brother Shaun, 24, Chelsy will kick off the adventure by jetting to the US casino city of Reno, Nevada, before heading for a spell in Rio de Janeiro.
One of Chelsy's close friends told the tabloid "She revealed her plans at a pal's wedding two weeks ago. She is keen to find something, to take her mind off Harry while he is busy with his regiment."
Officially, the Ministry of Defence insists that a final decision about whether second Lieutenant Harry will be allowed to fight in Iraq has yet to be made.
The Prince has always said he is determined to do battle with his 100-strong unit.
His Blues and Royals Regiment is heading to Iraq in the spring for a six-month tour.
Before that they are expected to take part in war games and exhaustive preparations for conflict.
Chelsy has completed an economics degree course at Cape Town University and was selling her home in the South African city ready for a move to Britain, the report said.
