Prisoner commits suicide in Lucknow
A 25-year-old prisoner hailing from Orissa allegedly committed suicide in a jail in Jhansi district of Uttar Pradesh, police said on Saturday.

A 25-year-old prisoner hailing from Orissa allegedly committed suicide in a jail in Jhansi district of Uttar Pradesh, police said on Saturday.
"Tapan Sahu was found hanging on Saturday by a scarf from a tree in the jail premises," Senior Superintendent of Police Vinod Kumar told IANS on telephone.
"Prima facie it appears to be a case of suicide. However, the district administration has ordered a magisterial probe," said Kumar.
