Priyadarshan ditched Akki for SRK

Sources inform that Priyadarshan was keen to rope in Akki in Billu and had even narrated the script to him and the actor had even agreed to do the film.

In a way, Priyadarshan has ditched his favourite actor as he didn't care to inform that he is in talks with Shah Rukh Khan for the film. It was only after SRK agreed to the project, Priyadarshan met Akshay to inform him of his ouster.

However, there was no bitterness between Akshay and Priyan as they mutually decided not to make a big issue about this.

Priyan always wanted to make a film with SRK and to fulfill his dream, he forgot his dear friend who has given him hits like Hera Pheri, Bhool Bhulaiya, Garam Masala.
