For the kharif season, a decline is expected for all crops, except urad, tur and cotton, the RBI said in its Third Quarter Review Macroeconomic and Monetary Developments 2009-10 here today.

Rabi production is expected to be promising in view of the delayed withdrawal of the southwest monsoon, good progress of the northeast monsoon and improved sowing, particularly of foodgrains, supported by Government efforts towards enhancing production, it said.
