Rahul Gandhi's 39th birthday celebrated in Puducherry

Special poojas and abishegams were held at Sri Manakula Vinayakar temple in Puducherry, while Congress workers organised blood donation camps at various places and distributed food food packets on the occasion of AICC leader Rahul Gandhi's 39th birthday.

Union Minister of State for Planning, Parliamentary Affairs and Culture V Narayanasamy joined a large number of party workers in pulling a golden chariot on the precincts of the temple. They later offered worship to the presiding deity.

Narayanasamy later drove to the church of Sacred Heart of Jesus and attended a special mass to mark Rahul Gandhi`s birthday. He also attended a prayer meeting in a mosque.

Puducherry PCC leader A V Subramanian cut a 39 kilo cake at St Anne`s school in the heart of the town on the occassion.
