"The Congress doesn't seem to be in a mood to contest elections with us. I think by 2015, when Rahul Gandhi will be ready as a leader, the Congress will think of giving a fight to us," BJP treasurer Ramdas Agrawal said.

Agrawal also expressed surprise at Congress president Sonia Gandhi's objection to the remarks made against her by Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.

"Leaders in public life should not be that sensitive to criticism. If Sonia Gandhi thinks that her foreign origin issue is a personal one, she is badly mistaken. Her foreign origin is the national issue now," he maintained.

Speaking about the construction of a Ram temple at Ayodhya, Agarwal said the BJP was committed to making this happen in five years.

"If the BJP doesn't build temple within five years, people will throw it away. Earlier, Ram temple was only on the BJP's agenda, now it has become part of the National Democratic Alliance agenda," he said.
