Rajasthan records 49.91 per cent polling for 25 LS seats

Rajasthan has recorded a polling average of 49.91% out of 3.47 crores voters for 25 LS seats which went to polls on Wednesday.

Rajasthan has recorded a polling average of 49.91 per cent out of 3.47 crores voters for 25 Lok Sabha seats which went to polls yesterday, a final statistics released by Chief Electoral Office said on Thursday.

A tentative polling percentage if 52 per cent had been reported by the CEO last night.

Polling in the state declined by 3.95 per cent as compared to 1999 Lok Sabha polls which had recorded 53.86 per cent out of 3.11 crore voters, the statistics said.

Male electorates, about 55.26 per cent, exercised their franchise more than females which was 44.05 per cent.

Barmer recorded the maximum polling percentage of 63.95 per cent, and Bayana recorded the minimum polling percentage of 41.01 per cents.

However, Churu recorded 60.92 pc, followed by Bikaner 56.5 pc, Udaipur 55.62 pc, Jodhpur 55..13, Ganganagar 53.68 pc, Sikar 52.92 pc, Jhunjhunu 50.19 pc, Bhilwara 50.15 pc, Sawai- Madhopur 49.54, Salumber 49.16, Dausa 49.09, Bharatpur Banswara 48.43 pc each, Chittorgarh 48.42 pc, Jhalawar 47.2 pc, Tonk 46 .46 pc, Jaipur 46.38 pc, Jalore 45.84 pc, Pali 45.21 pc, Nagaur 44.05, Ajmer 44.04 pc, Kota 43.62 pc, and Alwar 43.1 pc. .
