ABVP activists were arrested when they burnt PM's effigy to protest the Centre's affidavit on Sethu Samudram project in Supreme Court.

Five activists of ABVP were arrested when they burnt an effigy of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in Vijayawada on Thursday to protest the Centre's affidavit on Sethu Samudram project in Supreme Court, police said.

The five, arrested outside the Sarada College here, included Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad's (ABVP) joint secretary P Laxmi Reddy. They would be produced before the court, police added.
