A case recently registered at the Versova police station claimed that the actor attacked his neighbour with a rod after a heated argument. Rebuffing the severity of the matter, Hooda's spokesperson Dale Bhagwagar said: "Randeep is probably just paying the price for being a celebrity."

Bhagwagar explained that the actor had a disagreement over trivial matters in his colony, following which some outsiders took advantage of the situation and filed a false complaint at the police station. According to the spokesperson, Hooda kept his cool.

"The police have been extremely understanding and if truth prevails Randeep will soon get a clean chit from them," Bhagwagar said. Randeep Hooda has previously worked in movies like Ram Gopal Varma's "D" and Vishram Sawant-directed "Risk" and will soon be seen in Ketan Mehta's "Rang Rasiya".
