Rangasamy pays tribute to Rajiv Gandhi

Puducherry chief minister N Rangasamy paid floral tributes at the statue of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on the occasion of the leader's 67th birth anniversary on Saturday.

Puducherry chief minister N Rangasamy paid floral tributes at the statue of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on the occasion of the leader's 67th birth anniversary on Saturday.

Speaker of the assembly V Sabapathy, ministers and legislators of the ruling AINRC freedom fighters were among those who were present.

Rangasamy later administered the 'Sadhbhavana Day' and 'Renewable Energy Day' pledges to all those present at the
venue.

Earlier representatives of Hindu, Muslim and Christian religions read out the excerpts from their respective
religious books.

The Congress held blood donation programmes and distributed free food packets at various centers to mark the celebration of the birth anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi.
