The accused has been booked under the charges of abduction, rape and criminal intimidation.

The victim's mother alleged in her complaint that Gurpal had come to her house on September 2 when her daughter was alone. She said the accused had escaped after raping her daughter and she found her daughter unconscious after reaching home.

Kishori Lal, station house officer, Bara Ghuda, earlier said that the medical examination of the girl had confirmed sexual assault, but later retracted from his statement and said that the medical report was yet to be released.
