Tata Motors Ltd on Friday named Ravi Kant, the executive director of its commercial vehicle business unit, as its new managing director.

The board of directors of the company, at its meeting held on Friday, approved the appointment of Ravi Kant as the managing director, TML said.

Kant will take chare of the new post with immediate effect, it said.
