Indian sitar maestro Ravi Shankar has been admitted to a hospital in California but there is no word on his condition.

Indian sitar maestro Ravi Shankar has been admitted to a hospital in California but there is no word on his condition.
"He is still in the hospital," Jennifer (one name) of the Ravi Shankar Foundation in the town of Encinitas, told IANS on phone.
"His wife Sukanya is with him 24x7 taking good care of him," she added declining to say anything about when Ravi Shankar was admitted to the hospital.
The spokesperson also refused to reveal what his problem was and the progress he was making.
Ravi Shankar, 86, is a recipient of the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honour.
