"The PE fund plans to raise about Rs 1,500-2000 crore," banking sources said.

Around 10-20 per cent would be contributed by the group companies while remaining would be raised from the domestic investors, banking sources added.

The PE fund would look at buyouts and acquisition financing among others.

"The focus of our PE investment will be on growth capital, buyouts, minority investment and acquisition financing. We will put money in sunrise and growth sectors alike," Reliance Capital Chairman Anil Ambani told its shareholder during the Annual General Meeting held last week.
